The revolution between changing minds and reforming the community

The Egyptian revolution is having a crisis, as it was a revolution against a corrupted regime, but it never touched the corrupted minds. Consequently, the Egyptians kept their corrupted minds. All problems of the revolution were basically a reflection for the problems of the Egyptian mind, and not of the revolution.

Egyptian society suffers from a double problem: corruption in the society and the corrupted minds as well. I mean by the corruption of society: the political, economic and social corruption, which is the corruption of regime. The corruption of citizens’ minds has generated a lot of taboos and dogmas. The revolution itself has become a dogma that shouldn’t be a subject for a debate or criticism! Adding to that, the control of religious authorities in the minds of the Egyptians, believing in superstitions and thinking about the glories of the past.

In January 25 Egyptians revolt against the community, but they didn’t do the same against the corrupted minds, thus the community couldn’t be reformed, and the corruption of minds may annihilate the revolution.
A revolution may overthrow a tyrant easily, but it is too hard for it to change a way of thinking.

If we try to find out the reason behind the Egyptian revolution’s crisis we’ll find:
• The Supreme Council of Armed Forces has accepted to take over managing the country according to the order of Mubarak, and making them the new pharaohs.
• The revolution against the prime minister and accepting Essam Sharaf, at the same time al-Beshry was cooking the constitutional declaration.
• The referendum on the constitutional declaration and using religion to make the electors accept them which is a reflection for the problems of our mind.
• The sit-ins of the Israeli embassy, Maspero and Mohammed Mahmoud, etc. All of it was a reflection for the crisis of the Egyptian mind.
• Voting for the Islamists in the parliament for they will apply the law of Allah is another clear manifestation for this minds’ crisis.
• Abbasya sit-in which is based on a lie of a person is a clear declaration for this crisis

I just want to say that the corrupted mind is capable of either destroying the revolution or reforming the society and consequently, changing minds is a necessity to any reform or a revolution.
It could take years to change minds, but it’s a necessity, and without it no revolution will be able to reform the Egyptian society. We need good education and freedom.

Reading the future of President Morsy

After the massacre of the presidential palace, Morsy has lost a lot of his legitimacy before many Egyptian citizens. He's become in a very serious situation that doesn't allow him to make important political and economical decisions. He's became like caretaker governments, and he has to get rid of his counselors who led him to such situation. Furthermore, the continual muzzle put on the media in the name of cleansing it will make the President lose more and more.

It's clear now that Saudi Arabia hates MB (Muslim brotherhood) being in power. Only Qatar supports and covers them, based on the American orders.

Egyptian Armed Forces considers itself, and is treated, as the protector of the Egyptian people, which makes it ready to intervene at any time to save the Egyptian national security which is being threatened by such division in the Egyptian society. This was emphasized by Mark Toner, U.S. State Department's spokesman, who said that U.S. administration is in touch with all Egyptians officials, including the Armed Forces.

This shows that Morsy doesn't have the same space to work, and he currently has only three options: First, to keep going ignoring his opposition and using violence with them, which will enable him to be in power either for hundreds of years or even for few months.

Second, he can offer real concessions to the civil currents in order to overcome the crisis and share power.

Third, he can use the democratic tools of holding an early presidential elections. MB would argue: Referendum on Constitution draft is also a democratic tool that civil currents have to use and respect as well.
This is the typical problem of arguing with MB supporters. They can't see that Morsy won't leave power if the referendum result was “no”.

On the other hand, I advice the National Salvation Front: Morsy to back off is a big victory for you, while overthrowing him is a big loss for you.

Finally, U.S. Administration has proven again to have the important cards in the game.

Political patronage on the Copts

Probably some people trying to put Egyptian Christians  out of ignorance or deliberately in a losing battle, in a bone crushing battle against the two poles of political Islam, Muslim brotherhood and salafis by facing Islamic parties in parliament. Thus, the status of Copts in the battle is not their battle

If you ask me what the Copts want?

I will tell you that Copts just want their rights and complete equality between all Egyptians, and thus is useless to engage in a battle between the Liberal trend of hand and Islamism trend on the other hand, or with any other stream to face of the Islamists Because this will distract them from achieving their goals as the rebels lost their effort in battle with Mubarak and not for "Bread - freedom - social justice"

The correct situation is that you make your effort to accomplish your goal without concern of side battles which doesn't matter Copts from near or far

Someone says that if we let the Copts exercise their freedom of choice, most certainly must choose between the liberal and leftist parties!!

In the beginning, I don’t know how they make sure by using “certainly” and “must” form and choose for the Copts particular political trends.
The answer is simple through some details of the Coptic
Please compare the reaction of the Copts on these issues and the reaction of liberals or leftists:

- Civil disobedience : Many of the Copts supported the religious opinion of Pope Shenouda III in this matter and took it to them as reference but if they’re liberals or leftists are supposed to take their direction of political as a point of reference

- Some Christians have chosen to support the presidential candidate “Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh” who is a former senior leader in Muslim Brotherhood and he doesn’t relevant to liberal or leftists

- “I love cinema” movie, “Azazel” novel and “Awan alward” TV series …etc. if Copts are liberals won't have to reject or clash with artistic creativity
- I laugh when people talking about the Copts horror of bikini ban, as if the Coptic’s women are raises the banner of bikini in Egypt, while you will find between the Muslim and Coptic equal ratios wear a bikini and other ratios aren’t wearing  bikini

- The issue of ban pornography websites... A lot, but most of the Christian families same as Muslims if asked them about pornographic websites would agree to ban it and there may be lead a request of ban pornography websites

- Modesty in clothing... if you were lucky, you might meet one of the Christians priests, you will know they are always talking about modesty in all sermons and prove their words by verses from the Bible.
The difference is that some scholars of Islam force people to specific uniform while Christian priests call for modesty in the absolute

Copts are not all liberals and not all of them leftists, but I would argue that many of them had no objection in applying the system of Islamic ethics except for some details such as the imposition of the veil and these things can talk about with Islamism, especially with parties such as the “Alwasat” and” The freedom and justice” can be convergence at points of agreement may achieve for Copts more than their achieve from Sticking tribal with liberalism without understanding and not by conviction
I think that if Christians began a systematic and well thought out moves to the Muslim Brotherhood, instead of scrambling to the headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood after winning a majority in parliament will achieve significant benefits because they are the mass that not insignificant able to ensure a stable rule of the Islamists

I'm not override the right of any human to defend the liberal or the left or any political trends, and I am also, but I only ask everyone to defend these principles, or that liberal or communist or Islamism or .. Etc. without being attached between those principles and Christianity or Coptic out of ignorance or deliberately

Copts are like all Egyptians, including the Liberal and leftist and some of them believes that their faith above politics and that the Christian moral system is the best for the rule of Egypt and don’t surprised if a Coptic said to you "If a monk like Pope Shenouda ruled Egypt will be the best country in the world".. This man or other might agree at some time with party of ” The freedom and justice”, or some Copts maybe establish party based on Christian values which may see a political solution to all of Egypt with all its communities and This party may be agreed with the party of ” The freedom and justice” or “Al-Nour” or “Alwasat” Party And coordination between them is on the basis that all parties representing the religious right -wing parties, Isn’t permissible to confiscate their opinion on the grounds that all Copts liberals or leftists Some also believe in the religious right is better to Egypt

Take your hands off the Copts!!
